Service

Seedance API provides a developer-friendly access layer for video generation workflows, including API keys, credits, task submission, polling, request logs, and dashboard tools. Seedance API is an independent service and is not an official Volcano Engine, ByteDance, or Seedance website.

Accounts and API Keys

You are responsible for your account, API keys, prompts, uploaded media, generated outputs, and all activity under your credentials. Keep API keys secret and do not share them publicly or use them to bypass rate limits, abuse controls, or access restrictions.

Credits and Billing

Credit packs are prepaid usage balances for Seedance API requests. Each request reserves a model-specific number of credits calculated from its resolution and duration. Credit pricing, pack sizes, and available models may change over time, but changes will not reduce credits already purchased in your account.

Credits do not guarantee that an upstream model, region, feature, or output format will always be available. Generation may depend on upstream provider capacity, policies, latency, and model behavior.

Refund Policy

Credit package purchases are not refundable. Please review the package details before completing checkout.

If a create request fails before a video task is successfully created by the service, credits will not be deducted. If credits are temporarily deducted during processing, they will be returned automatically when the failure is confirmed.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Seedance API to create, upload, request, distribute, or facilitate illegal, harmful, exploitative, deceptive, or abusive content. This includes content that infringes intellectual property, violates privacy or publicity rights, impersonates people or organizations, enables fraud, harassment, or malware, or attempts to evade platform safety systems.

You may not create sexual exploitation content, content involving minors in sexual or abusive contexts, non-consensual intimate imagery, malicious deepfakes, deceptive political manipulation, or content intended to mislead viewers about real people, public events, evidence, or identity.

We may suspend access, revoke API keys, block requests, remove content references, or deny refunds if we believe the service is being misused or if required by law, payment processors, hosting providers, or upstream model providers.

Generated Content

You are responsible for reviewing generated content before using, publishing, selling, or distributing it. Outputs may be inaccurate, unexpected, or similar to existing works. You must make sure your use of generated content complies with applicable laws and third-party rights.

Availability and Changes

We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service, including models, endpoints, dashboard features, pricing, or credit rules. We are not liable for upstream outages, model policy changes, delayed generation, or temporary service interruptions.
